AMP organized the classroom phase of the SURVEA blended training program in surveillance and field epidemiology in Africa from March 11 to 29, 2013 at the Regional Institute of Public Health (IRSP) in Ouidah, Benin.
The closing ceremony, held on March 29, 2013 at IRSP, was chaired by the Minister of Health of Benin, Professor Dorothée Akoko Kindé Gazard, in the presence of the representative of the Minister of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Representative of the Director of West and Central Africa of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the Executive Director of AMP, and other training program partners.
This year’s edition of SURVEA is specifically targeted at Congolese health professionals, all 25 of whom are funded by GSK, in view of improving the technical capacity of the immunization system in the DRC.
