As AMP Benin Director, Dr. Hamed Idrissa Traoré is responsible for the oversight, strategy, and leadership of AMP activities in Benin including the management of a multidisciplinary team of nearly 10 employees. He also serves as Project Coordinator of LOGIVAC+, working in close collaboration with the national Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) logistics team to implement a redesigned immunization supply chain in Benin by developing strategic partnerships.
Before joining AMP in April 2015, Dr. Traoré worked as Deputy Departmental Director at the Ministry of Health of Côte d'Ivoire and with Doctors Without Borders as Pharmacist Coordinator in Chad and Mali, and Project Coordinator in different countries including Republic of the Congo, Chad, and Nigeria. He also served as a consultant in supply chain management with Save The Children in the Central African Republic. In addition, Dr. Traoré was a member of several research study teams in public health and logistics, working on issues such as temperature controlled chain (CTC) and evaluation of the cost of case-by-case meningitis monitoring.
Dr. Traoré holds a PhD in pharmacy from the University of Cocody in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) and a graduate certificate in nutritional epidemiology (ISPED Bordeaux, France). He has over 11 years professional experience in logistics and supply chain management, the pharmaceutical supply chain, product quality, commodity security, and public health programming and organizational management.
