Africa Regional Director
Dr. Téné-Alima Essoh is AMP Africa Regional Director since January 2016 and Country Program Director for AMP-Côte d'Ivoire since October 2013. In this role, she is responsible for developing and coordinating AMP’s activities in Côte d'Ivoire and sub-Sahara Africa, representing AMP on an institutional level, and managing the AMP Abidjan office. Beyond these local responsibilities, she is in charge of providing technical coordination for new vaccine introduction projects in Africa.
Before joining AMP, Dr. Essoh worked for a decade in the field of vaccines at Sanofi Pasteur International, Sanofi Pasteur-MSD Europe, GlaxoSmithKline France, and then in Francophone Africa. Her areas of expertise include vaccine clinical development and market access, pharmacovigilance, project management, management of medical communities, and scientific communication.
Dr. Essoh holds an MD from the University of Nancy I (France) and Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), an MBA from the Institute of Health industry (Lyon-France), and an international vaccinology degree from the University of Bordeaux (France). She is also alumni of the Advance Vaccinology Course (Annecy, France).
